The North Atlantic Society is dedicated to raise awareness about the whales in the North Atlantic, collect and analyzes sightings of whales to learn more about the population, the social structure and their behavior to provide them a save and healthy habitat.
The North Atlantic Society Public Sightings Network encourages residents, local wildlife operators and visitors to the area to report their sightings of whales, dolphins and porpoises to the North Atlantic Society. This information is important because it contributes to our understanding of where and when particular species occur.
Please report your whale sightings directly on the webpage. we work closely together with the network and believe it is a great opportunity to bring everybody together and learn more about the whales in northern Norway!
we already had the pleasure of finding long finned pilot whales in the Vestfjord together..
